Pastillage

A thick sugar paste, similar to gum paste, is molded into shapes. When dried, it is hard and brittle. Made with gelatin, water and confectioner's sugar according to Wikipedia. Let me show you what I made with it.

My base painted to look like cracked ice.

I tried for a Sun Burst paint job on my leaves.

  1. That looks awesome, but do you eat it, and how? By the way, happy birthday. We meant to call you on Sunday, but got caught up I guess. We need to talk soon so I can get some updates. Plus, I don't know if I got a chance to tell you that I had finished that book about Japan the night before we left town. It was a good one. I think of it everyday when I watch Ponyo with Miriam.
